Guided Tours
The Public Relations Service offers tours of the Library for visitors from around the world. These visitors include diplomatic corps, university or school groops, members of cultural and public organizations, participants of conferences, seminars and other meetings, professionals from different fields. Guided tours are available for groups who are interested in the history of the Library, its departments and collections.
The Public Relations Service also provides exhibition previews for those wishing to visit the Library's exhibition halls.
Visitors may arrange special tours which focus on the Manuscripts Department, Voltaire's Library, or the Rare Books Department that houses the collections of West European and Russian early printed books, the Petrine collection, Aldine editions and Elzevier volumes.
Each tour is led by highly qualified guides, who have academic backgrounds and in-depth knowledge in specialised areas such as: the history of the Library; library and information science and related fields.
