OFFICIAL PERIODICALS

Electronic Guidebook "Official Periodicals" (further the Guidebook) was developed by the Legislative information center of the National Library of Russia.

The purpose of the Guidebook is to show reference information about the Russian official periodicals (further the Editions) in the visual structured form and also to as much as possible full to capture the list of official Russian Editions, if they are in funds NLR.

The Guidebook has three-level structure and consists of two parts:

The first level — the main page on which the structure of the Guidebook on the basis of government division in the Russian Federation is presented.

The second level — a video series in the form of the scanned covers of Editions with instructions of short data: date of foundation or publishing, periodicity, the information on changes, the storage code number in funds of NLR. The material in the Guidebook is located in alphabetic order. With a view of presentation the video series is supplied by special information symbols:

The third level — the table containing data on the status, the short summary of the maintenance of Editions, the information on publishing body. Texts are supplied by the hypertext references, giving the chance transition to electronic versions of Editions in the Internet, on websites of the bodies which have founded the Editions and publishing houses.

Within the limits of the Guidebook search in keywords и search by means of a running line of the scanned covers of Editions are provided.

Feature of creation of the Guidebook is a combination of use of a modern information technology and experience of the NLR's bibliographers.
