The International Research Conference Voltaires Readings - 2014 will be held in the National Library of Russia, St. Petersburg, October 6 through 8, 2014. Theme of the Conference will be "Russian and Western European Enlightenment. In memory of Nikolai Aleksandrovich Kopanev"

The National Library of Russia presents the exhibition Hebrew manuscripts in the National Library of Russia. It is an account of the Library's collection which ranks amongst the best collections in the world.

We are also pleased to announce the exhibition Books from Faust's Study: the Compendium of Medieval Astrology and Nuremberg Chronicle that shows some of the most noteworthy items in our collection of European early printed books.

The project Life of St. Sergius of Radonezh commemorates the anniversary of the most venerated and popular saints in Russia. The digitised version of Pachomius the Serb's landmark gives an opportunity both for researchers and for the most general public to view the medieval manuscript online.
